Thanks to all of my dedicated readers, I could not have done it without you! Well I would, but not with the gusto I give it. I might not write as much. I might not be cooking as much. Writing this blog inspires and motivates me to do what I love and write about it. It also helps me to be connected to so many people around the world that I would otherwise not be able to connect with. I have made friends with readers in Italy, Holland, Germany, UK, Asia, and all around the States. It thrills me beyond belief to think my blog reaches that far around the world.

If you will kindly notice, I have a new look on my blog. Thanks to Wendy and her team at Make It Happen I have a new header and button. I won one of her contests for some blog/biz bling. She captured me and my style perfectly in the header and button. My friend Julie created my first button so I would have something quick when I was getting into fixing up the place. But when given the chance to beef it up a bit, I am sure Julie won’t mind me having a new look and redecorating my blog.

Today is also the day for my Friday Favorites post. This is where I let you know my favorite new or old blogs that I have discovered this week. I have a few so let’s get on with the list!

1. BloggyMoms– this week I joined the ladies at the Bloggy Moms community. Great group of ladies and I can’t wait to keep finding my way around the place.

2.  Annie Bakes– I found this great foodie blog this week and love her look and recipes. Be sure to check out her S’mores Brownies recipe.

3.Affordable SEO Tips and Tricks– Joseph has a neat blog to help the blogger go from casual to serious. Be sure to check him out. He gave me a nice shout-out today.

4.  Aglio, Olio and Peperoncino– Wonderfully written and photographed foodie blog written by another American living in Italy. She recently revamped her blog and added a recipe section. I am so grateful for that move because I love her recipes.

5. Amid the Olive Trees– You guess it! Another American living and blogging from Italy. I find the perspective of those living in Italy to be fascinating and I can’t get enough of them. She has lots of recipes and shares her experiences of living in Italy.

I once again want to thank Tina at Life Without Pink for hosting the Friday Favorites. Be sure to pay a visit to her and find more great blogs to discover.

And I have to say another BIG thank you to Wendy and Derek at Make It Happen for my new look! Woohoo!!!

  1. Michelle – Your header and button look amazing! Congrats on your 100th post!

There’s a trick to get your button to have an html box under it so people can highlight the code and put it in their blogs. I’m not sure if it’s possible on blogs, but I’ll send details anyway!

  2. And a big thanks from me too Michelle for the shout out about my blog!

I’ll be getting a copy of your button when you get the code and I’ll stick it on my homepage so folks can check out your great recipes while reading-up on SEO tips ;-)

I’ll have to get one of those myself – I’ll go ask smarty Tia Maria who seems to be clued up about this sort of stuff. Mind you, she often slacks at the weekend so it may be a few days before I can catch up with her.

Take care and have a lovely weekend!
