Christmas recovery

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got all that you wanted or needed. But not just that, I hope and pray you found peace and love in all you did. I hope you gathered with loved ones and created new memories, continued with old traditions as well as start new ones.

Even in this crazy economy I found all the shops to be full of folks loading up carts and baskets with foods and gifts. I’m glad people still gave gifts and enjoyed the spirit of giving this year.

We enjoyed round 1 of our celebrations on Christmas day and the day after. We ate too much and laughed often. We visited with family and friends. This coming weekend we will do it all over again. I am busily coming up with more tasty food to make and trying to settle on my choices. My daughter, her husband and their four beautiful children will be here for a few days. My house will be bursting at the seems as more family comes for a visit to see the kids. I hope I survive it all with my mental faculties intact.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from Christmas, round one!

Jake and Za(Isaiah) on Jake’s bike

Caleb was happy to get this RC vehicle and Za was happy to see such a big car. He must have said “car” 100 times in about 5 minutes.

I’ll be busy all week cooking and sewing up some last-minute gifts this week but I’ll try to get back here to post the menus and recipes for the weekend. Enjoy the rest of the Christmas season all the way until Epiphany, January 6th! Party like crazy!
